Search Engine Marketing Through YouTube

Nowadays, search engine marketing has definitely hit the forefront in Internet marketing. So many tools and methods are currently being employed, just to garner the coveted search results. Search engine marketers have tried blogging, article marketing, email marketing, affiliate marketing, and the like, just to direct traffic to their site, or to the sites of their clients. However, there is a recent addition to that long list. And this is none other than using the popular medium that is the video.

If you are searching for a particular video, no matter what kind it is, what site do you turn to for this? If your answer is YouTube, then you are one of the million fans of the site that Google just bought out. This buyout is indeed one of the smartest moves made by both YouTube and Google because the strengths of both sites can then be enjoyed by the millions of their subscribers all over the world.

It just cannot be denied that there are so many people uploading videos on whatever topics on YouTube. And when you have that many videos being uploaded every single day, it would be such a waste not to use the site for search engine marketing. Much research has been put into search engine marketing through YouTube, and the results have been determined to be very positive. As Internet marketers, you need to look beyond having unique and catchy content on your site. Yes, these articles funnel a lot of traffic to your website, or to those of your clients. But have you noticed, especially for owners of blog sites, that more and more people actually drop by your blog out of their own volition when you have vivid pictures for your blog entries? These pictures do more than decorate your site, you know. They also make your blog entries more interesting to read. And where interest is concerned, then there are more chances for your visitors to click the ads you have posted all over your site. Yes, this is the effect pictures have on blog sites. All the more if you add videos! Superb video content can do wonders for your website, when it comes to both site traffic and sales.

One common problem site owners have is the fact that their visitors do not really stay on their site for as long as it is needed to click on the posted ads. There are even visitors who do not bother to browse your homepage in its entirety. But if you have an appealing homepage, then you can very well extend the visiting time for your website, and increase the chances of your ads getting clicks. Adding unique videos to your website can just do this trick.

So, what videos should you add to your site? Of course, your videos should be related to the overall content of your site. If you are maintaining a tennis blog with an online store for tennis goods and stuff, then adding a video of Britney Spear’s latest song out won’t be effective. Well, yes, it could be effective in getting people to stay longer on your site because there will indeed be many visitors who would watch the video. But after watching it, and then discovering that the video is not related to the content of your site, then they could very well close the browser window in a couple of seconds. Thus, you should find video presentations on YouTube that are related to your site. It is very easy finding related videos. Just perform a search on YouTube, and find videos that are related the most. You can then lift the HTML code of the video and paste it right onto your website, and you can then have a video presentation for your site. Of course, you also have to give credit where it is due. Pretty soon, you can start posting your own video presentations on YouTube, and place those videos onto your website as well.
