Twitter, how to monetize it
One of the most popular site on the planet at this time. Which means that this is the ideal place to advertise your business, product, etc…
Be aware that even though this is one of the biggest social networking sites on the planet, luck can turn against you. Main focus of twitter is to have many followers who read every tweet that you sent. In order to be able to do that you need a content that is interesting and appealing to read. Start spamming them and they will not care about your tweet and will quickly lose all of your followers. It happened to me before. So now I have started a new account and in a matter of weeks I was up to 700 Followers (which for me Is very very good) If you want followers, you also need to follow members yourself. If you don't follow anyone or reply to their message this will generate a lack of interest so others will not want to follow you.
Basically there are 3 steps to have a succesfull twitter account:
1) start following members who have the same interested and post reply on their profiles.
2) Get followers by making appealing tweets about your experiences prior to implementing your product. Do notify your followers of what products you will tweet about so they get warmed up for them.
3) Maintenance your follow/followers by being yourself, Not always tweet about your products but also about a tweet they did, Be proactive
These steps will give you a starting point on having hundreds of followers. Once you have reached this you can start monetizing you twitter account with several programs.
The good thing about those programs are that you can change the settings so they only sent out 1 or 2 ads a day (meaning that your followers will not consider this as spam) you will get paid per click or per commission is something is sold.
If you are using a site like be a magpie, you are actually renting out your account for some
days for advertisers to use your account. This can be very profitable for users with more then 1.000 followers as you can earn about 30-100$ per 7 days. Depending on your account and statistics. If you go to the site you will see what you could earn.

Revtwt is a site where you can sign up for free using your twitter account log in details. The site is pretty straight forward. You sign up, look at the ads that are availble and you tweet them. The more people click on your links (paid per click) the more you earn. The other part of the earning is a commision rate per thousand visitors. Earnings here depend on what ad you are advertising.
http://www.twivert.com/o/I1C This is also a good site for making money with twitter, Basically uses the same interfaces as Revtwt but referalearnings and tweets are better. I think its better to register with both :)

This site is really great. It gives you the amount that your account might be worth. Basically what you do here is putting your twitter account up for rent to other people (advertisers,companies,etc) so it is really handy site when you have lots of followers. You actually place your account up for rent. Once you visit the site you will know what i am talking about. Then you can choose to rent your account for 7 days or a month and you can decide what you ask for it. I do have to admit that for the beginning you need to really ask a low fee for your account. If you have a look into current listing and recently sold, you will know what i am talking about.
