Buying email lists is a process that Internet marketers go through to secure some fresh leads to send information to in order to entice them to purchase their products. These marketers buy these lists for contact information from an email list broker. The email lists are leads from offers that the consumer signed up for and agreed to have their formation sold to third-party vendors.

You can buy these leads or rent them, depending on who’s selling them and how they work. Renting the list from a list supplier allows you to use the list of email addresses only one time, unless you struck a different deal with them. You’ll be tracked to see if you try to use the list more than what’s agreed upon with the supplier. The supplier sets up a couple of fake na
mes but real addresses that they own. If more than one email comes through from you, they’ll know you used the list more than once.

Buying a list from one of these list suppliers allows you to use your email list of leads as many times as you want. The supplier would have no need to place a “trap” within the list to see if you’re breaking the deal. Buying is better than renting, but unfortunately, you don’t know what you’re getting until its too late.

Although buying lists from suppliers can be cheaper, there’s a high risk of not getting good leads. In the long run you could end up losing more money than you put into the email lists from these suppliers. It would be a much better bet to go with a list broker if you can afford to pay the extra money for their time and effort.
